Terms of use
These terms of use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the https://directoffice.fr platform operated by DirectOffice.fr (the "Platform", "DirectOffice"), including the creation of an account, the publication of listings, and the ordering of printed posters. They supplement the terms and conditions of sale ("Terms of Sale"), which alone govern the sale of the printing service.

1. Purpose and acceptance
The purpose of these Terms is to define the conditions under which the Platform provides its users with a technical service enabling them to publish a free online listing and to order a printed poster bearing a unique QR code, with a view to selling or renting an asset.
Creating an account and any use of the Platform constitute full, complete, and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. Any user who does not accept these Terms must refrain from using the Platform.
These Terms are distinct from the Terms of Sale: they govern the use of the Platform and the regime applicable to published content, whereas the Terms of Sale alone govern the sale relationship for the printing service and paid services.
2. Definitions
- “Platform”: the DirectOffice website accessible at https://directoffice.fr, together with its pages, features, and related services.
- “Seller”: any natural or legal person who creates an account to publish a Listing and/or order a Poster.
- “Listing”: the public page describing an asset for sale or rent, published by the Seller after moderation.
- “Poster”: the printed medium ordered by the Seller, bearing a unique QR code linking to the Listing.
- “Content”: any element published by the Seller (text, photographs, asset characteristics, price, contact details, etc.).
- “Visitor”: any person browsing the Platform or a Listing, without necessarily holding an account.
3. Registration and account
Publishing a Listing and ordering a Poster require creating an account. The Seller undertakes to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, and to update it in the event of any change.
The Seller is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and for any activity carried out from their account. Any unauthorised use must be reported without delay to contact@directoffice.fr.
Only one account is permitted per person. The Platform reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or delete any account created in breach of these Terms.
4. Role of the Platform and hosting status
The Platform provides a technical service for publishing Listings and printing Posters. It does not intervene in the relationship between the Seller and the potential buyer or tenant: it is not a party to any sale or rental contract concluded between them, and receives no commission on those transactions.
Within the meaning of article 6 of French law n° 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 (LCEN), DirectOffice acts as a host of the Content published by Sellers: it stores and makes that Content available without being its author. In accordance with this status, it is under no general obligation to monitor Content or to actively seek facts or circumstances revealing unlawful activity.
Its liability for Content may only be incurred under the conditions provided for by the LCEN and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act, “DSA”), in particular where, having been duly informed of the manifestly unlawful nature of Content, it fails to act promptly to remove it or disable access to it.
5. Seller obligations and prohibited content
The Seller is solely responsible for the Content they publish. They warrant the truthfulness and accuracy of their Listing, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and respect for the rights of third parties.
The following Content is prohibited, by way of non-exhaustive example:
- unlawful, fraudulent, or contrary to public order and morality;
- infringing or violating any intellectual property right, image rights, or the privacy of a third party;
- deceptive, false, or likely to mislead as to the asset, its price, its characteristics, or the Seller's capacity;
- relating to an asset that the Seller has no right to sell or rent;
- intended to circumvent the Platform or to organise off-platform payment for a fraudulent purpose;
- defamatory, insulting, hateful, discriminatory, or undermining human dignity.
The Seller further refrains from any use of the Platform for spam, automated data extraction, or any purpose liable to disrupt its operation.
6. Declaration of the right to sell or rent
By publishing a Listing, the Seller represents and warrants that they hold all rights, title, and authorisations necessary to sell or rent the described asset, and that such sale or rental infringes no third-party rights and no legal or contractual obligation binding on them.
7. Licence over published Content
The Seller retains all intellectual property rights in the Content they publish. They nonetheless grant DirectOffice, for the sole duration of the Listing's publication and the Poster's availability, a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and limited licence authorising it to host, reproduce, represent, technically adapt, and display such Content (in particular text and photographs).
This licence is strictly limited to the purposes of the service: online distribution of the Listing and printing of the Poster bearing the QR code. It ends upon removal or expiry of the Listing, subject to technical archival copies and statutory retention obligations.
8. Notice and takedown of unlawful content
Any Visitor or Seller may report Content they consider unlawful using the reporting tool built into each Listing (“Report this listing” button) or by writing to the dedicated point of contact: contact@directoffice.fr.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA), this address constitutes the single point of contact for notifying unlawful Content. To be fully taken into account, the notification must identify the Content concerned (Listing URL), set out the grounds for its unlawfulness, and allow the reporter to be contacted.
Every report is examined as quickly as possible. In line with the commitment shown in our safety tips, each report is handled within 48 working hours: manifestly unlawful Content is promptly removed or made inaccessible, and both the reporter and the Seller concerned are informed of the action taken.
9. Moderation
Without prejudice to its hosting status, the Platform implements moderation measures intended to preserve the quality and reliability of Listings:
- Admin approval is required before a listing goes live or enters the print queue.
- Core fields are locked after approval to prevent a listing from being reused for another asset.
- Previous photos remain archived whenever new media is added.
- Crossing an edit threshold automatically triggers a new manual review.
These measures do not entail any general monitoring obligation and do not affect the Platform's hosting status.
10. Liability
The Platform is not a party to the transactions concluded between Sellers and buyers or tenants. It may not be held liable for the conclusion, performance, or non-performance of those transactions, nor for the conformity, quality, safety, or legality of the assets offered.
The Platform provides the publishing and printing service under a best-efforts obligation. It invites each user to adopt the good practices described in its safety tips, in particular the “never pay upfront” principle.
11. Account suspension and termination
The Platform may suspend or terminate a Seller's access, remove a Listing, and refuse a print job, in the event of breach of these Terms, publication of unlawful Content, fraud, or conduct harming third-party rights or the security of the service.
The Seller may terminate their account at any time. Termination by either party results in the removal of online Listings, without prejudice to Poster orders already confirmed (governed by the Terms of Sale) or to statutory retention obligations.
12. Personal data
Users' personal data is processed in connection with the use of the Platform in accordance with our privacy policy, which sets out the purposes, legal bases, retention periods, and rights of data subjects (GDPR).
13. Intellectual property of the Platform
The DirectOffice trademark, the website, its graphic charter, text, structure, software, and databases are the exclusive property of DirectOffice.fr or its partners, and are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited and may constitute infringement.
14. Amendment of the Terms
The Platform may amend these Terms at any time, in particular to reflect legal, regulatory, or technical developments. Users are informed of substantial changes, and the applicable version is the one in force on the date the Platform is used.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority by written claim to contact@directoffice.fr before any legal action.
Failing amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction. For non-professional users (consumers), the rules of territorial jurisdiction provided for by the French Code of Civil Procedure and the Consumer Code apply, the user being entitled in particular to bring proceedings before the court of the place where they resided at the time the contract was concluded or the harmful event occurred.
16. Terms of sale
The conditions applicable to the sale of the printing service and paid services (prices, payment, delivery, right of withdrawal, warranties) are set out in our terms and conditions of sale.
